In case the rain took you by surprise during the promenade around Gurkha Gate, stop by this bar. The Lounge & Bar is known for serving Indian cuisine. At this place, you may order good filet américain, soup and paneer. Tasty ice cream, chocolate cakes and yogurt have a nice taste. Come to this spot for delicious wine. Get your meal started with great masala chai or good coffee.
There is a lovely view from this bar. Most visitors mention that the staff is efficient. The Lounge & Bar is notable for its terrific service. Prices are found reasonable here. The food is a mix of various cuisines: Indian (mostly North Indian, with the occasional Himachali dish too, like sidu), Western (sandwiches, pastas, risottos and so on), and some perennial East Asian favourites. We had dinner here one day and tried the chicken noodle soup (East Asian style), the chicken pepper steak, and a fish and chips from the ‘Scooby’ menu, for children, for our daughter. All were pretty good. Since we were staying at the Cecil, our room tariff included a buffet breakfast at the Restaurant. While the items/sections on the buffet are the usual—cereals, fruit, cheeses and cold cuts, Western breakfast items, dosas/idlis/etc, parathas, and so on—the quality of pretty much everything on the buffet is excellent. Also, in a pleasant change from the usual, the eggs made to order don’t just include the more predictable omelettes and scrambles, but also more uncommon (but delicious) egg dishes, such as akuri, shakshouka, and Turkish-style eggs. The pizza base was uncooked in the middle but they insisted that this is how it is. The place is very stuffy. Save your money and go to wildflower. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹1,400–1,600 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
