I had a very disappointing experience this time. I ordered kabab paratha and mutton biryani — the kababs were bland, the parathas too thick and heavy, and the biryani itself was poor, with undercooked mutton. While the service was acceptable, the food quality was far below expectations. Being a regular visitor who often recommends this place to others, this experience felt like a complete letdown and a waste of money when I was expecting authentic Mughlai flavors. The Mughal's Dastarkhwan in Lucknow is one of the best places to enjoy authentic Mughlai food. I tried their chicken tikka and biryani and both were absolutely delicious. The chicken was tender and full of flavour and the biryani had the perfect blend of spices and aroma. If you are visiting Lucknow and want to explore the city through its food this place should definitely be on your list. The ambiance is warm with comfortable seating and traditional Awadhi touches that give it a nice vibe. The staff is polite and attentive and service was smooth even though the place was quite busy. The food here easily stands alongside the legendary names in the city and while it might be slightly on the higher side in terms of price the quality and experience make it worth it.
