It is a Biryani for those who don't know what good biryani tastes like. This shop gives tough competition to Lalla Biryani in Chowk. Its a question of Debate who uses more quantity of DALDA in their biryani. You can feel the stiffness of rice after 3-4 mins of dalda getting cold in the rice. Extremely Pathetic. The meat they use is from Old Female Goat, super chewy, smelly and pinkish meat. Told you, the one who knows what good meat looks like, can understand the quality of meat being used. And cerry on the top their Kebab Paratha, what to say, they are simply out of the World in Worst Category. Partha are stored in polythene bags, i don't from where they have been imported but when I saw him taking out the paratha it was stuck by another layer of partha as if it was glued by The Camel Glue (The blue bottle of glue generally you have seen in Indian post office), yes that kind of glue. And kebab was stale. It felt like they used century old meat in it. . Best Place For NOOBS....... Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 1

I recently visited this half a century old Sahu Biryani in Hazratganj, located in the charming lane adjacent to Sahu Cinema, and it brought back a wave of nostalgia! Back in the day, we would watch movies at Sahu Cinema and always get their delicious biryani packed to enjoy before the show. It was a ritual for many, and I’m thrilled to see that they’ve not only maintained their signature flavor but have elevated it even further! Their Mutton Biryani remains my all-time favorite—each piece is tender, juicy, and perfectly spiced. The rice is aromatic, and the meticulous cooking is evident with every bite. I highly recommend pairing the biryani with their shami kebabs for a truly memorable meal. This combination has been my personal favorite for years, and it never disappoints. If you’re looking for something more, their Chicken Masala and Mutton Kaleji Fry with a hot, fresh paratha are absolute must-tries. The flavors are rich, authentic, and speak of decades of perfected culinary expertise. Despite its incredible taste and quality, I believe Sahu Biryani is still underrated, and it can easily rival some of the biggest names in Lucknow’s biryani scene. This hidden gem deserves far more recognition. A five-star experience from me! If you haven’t tried it yet, make sure to visit Sahu Biryani—it’s a treat that you’ll keep coming back for!
