Visited recently for an event at High Spirits and had an amazing time! The vibe was electric – KRATEX was performing, and the night was full of energy with live comedy shows and great music. The place truly knows how to keep the crowd engaged. What stood out the most was the food – absolutely delicious! Every bite was packed with flavor and perfectly complemented the lively atmosphere. After many years, I decided to attend Fete De La Musique at High Spirits to enjoy a Saturday filled with music, food, and drinks. I went in with an open mind and thought it might be helpful to share my experience for others planning a visit. The overall atmosphere was decent—lively yet not overwhelming. That said, the main stage around 8 PM featured a reggae act whose sound unfortunately wasn’t quite audible. It may have been a technical glitch, but I hope future performers take a note in that regard. The bartenders were visibly under pressure, which is understandable during a packed event. If you like your drink with less ice, it’s best to remind them more than once—things weren't quite fast-paced. We ordered three dishes: fries, nachos, and a truffle mushroom pizza. The fries were definitely the highlight—cheesy and well-seasoned. The nachos leaned towards the spicier side, so pairing them with the white dip helped balance the flavor. The pizza had an interesting spinach topping, which I personally enjoyed more than the rest of the pie. Surprisingly, the indoor section (reserved for couples and ladies) had a much better music vibe. That space truly elevated our evening. However, I did notice there wasn’t table service—you had to place and collect your own order from the bar. While it wasn’t a deal breaker, I’m hoping this feedback might help improve hospitality in the future. Overall, it was a night of good moments and a few misses. Still worth checking out, especially if you're going for the vibe more than the food or service.
