Last night my husband and I decided to have dinner at Khyber after ages , we remembered the place as beautiful aesthetic fine dining with the most amazing food on their menu ! Sadly this isn’t the case anymore , since we didn’t have an appetite for a big meal we ordered chicken rara ( should have been a mild gravy with well marinated tender thigh pieces ) with garlic butter nan , what came on the table was nothing like we expected , red tomato paste like gravy overloaded with garam masala , and the worst part is ,the chicken was so smelly and lacked tenderness , seemed like it was boiled in the pressure cooker and thrown in the gravy . When we brought it to the notice of the captain there , someone called Pascal , he was so bloody rude and loud !!! It’s Shocking that people in the hospitality industry can lack basic courtesy and respect . He glanced at the dish and smirked and said “what you want me to do ? Now that you’ve already eaten half , get you another ? You’ll have to wait . “ ! We quietly finished our meal , paid and left , vowing this probably was the last time we are visiting this place . It’s really not about the money we spend or the food gone wrong ( these can be corrected ) , it’s more about the experience in a particular restaurant, which stays with us forever .
