Beautiful ambience but average food. Go for the vibe, not the taste. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: ₹2,000+ Recommendation for vegetarians: Would not recommend

The service was excellent however the place was under renovation so the ambience was not exactly aesthetic. The beggars at the entrance make the restaurant entrance a nuisance. No effort was being made to alleviate the beggar situation. With the kind of profits they take in - perhaps offering free meals to the beggars and a request to not harass patrons at the doorstep would make a difference. The parking - illegal attendants were ushering people into spots - and charging as high as 150 rupees for the hour and a half we spent there in the restaurant. If there is not valet parking then perhaps and effort can be made to ensure some attendants who help with the parking so that patrons do not pay such high charges. The chilcken tikka and another chiken kebab dish we ordered were satisfactory as starters. But they were not outstanding. In the main dish we ordered a mutton curry and a fish curry and tandoori rotis. By the time the tandoori rotis reached our table they were falccid and not crisp. Perhaps due to the monsoons and increased humidity. The mutton dish was prepared using mutton with excessive musk smell. It was distatsteful to eat with the strong smell of musk. The fish was satisfactory but again not outstanding. In north-Indian cooking the masala has to be cooked well - it was not in either of the main dishes. Both the masalas were a shade undercooked. Temhe desserts were satisfactory. We are ras malai and shahi tukda. My opinion must come with a caveat. I am a Muslim from Allahabad and come from a family of great cooks. All the far we ordered we have been having from childhood and my standards are pretty high. Unfortunately, Khyber could not match those.
