I really enjoyed my stay. The place has such a special and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home from the very first day. A big thank you to the volunteers, and especially to Shrish and Niki, who were always looking after me and helped me organize so many wonderful excursions. Definitely a place I would recommend and one I’d love to come back to.

It's a lovely, cozy hostel, minutes away from the Odayam beach and Black Sand beach. Ancy and Aparna are a great help, even with activities around the place and extremely warm people!

I had an incredible stay at House of Surf in Varkala and can’t recommend it enough, especially for solo women travelers looking for a safe and welcoming space. A special shoutout to Ancy, She was more than just a host—she was a guide, a friend, and a constant support throughout my stay. From local tips to surf sessions and everything in between, Ancy went out of her way to make sure I felt comfortable and got the most out of my time in Varkala.
