Food was good and coffee is great, but service is really poor and slow. Dishes arrived separately with large gap in between, some dishes arrived after almost an hour. I am visiting Varkala during festive season and didn’t realise that all cafes , hotels etc will be so crowded and waiting time will be really long . We ordered cold coffee and paneer chilli dry requesting the dish to be spicy. We waited for one hr and the server kept on telling us that the dish is ready and will come in 2 mins. Coffee was refreshing , paneer chilli was too spicy and salty (definitely not worth the wait) . After eating that disappointing paneer dish , I decided to order brownie with ice cream to calm my insides . Brownie was too hard to chew and that entire dish didnt go well with my taste buds . Sadly, most of these high rated places are overhyped and over priced . So far I am very disappointed with food in Varkala . Hi Neelam, Firstly apologies for delay in service. But please understand that this is rush festive time and happening in every cafe. we are trying to serve better. Firstly you asked for very spicy chilly paneer and when we deliver you found it more as you were with kid. What we can do in such situation. We delivered many brownies that day and I too tasted it, it was not hard to chew but may not be to your taste buds. If you are disappointed with Varkala, you cannot blame just on us.
