YOU MUST EAT HERE! Some of the best vegan food I’ve ever had. I’ve been vegan for 10 years, travelled extensively, and this is one of the best vegan restaurants I’ve experienced. The menu is fantastically varied (from all day breakfasts to sushi to bowls to Mexican to Indian food!) and the fact it’s nutritiously so wholesome doesn’t take away from its truly top tier taste. The desserts are gorgeous too and everyone working there is incredibly friendly. After discovering it, we ate here twice a day during our time in Varkala! You may sometimes be waiting a while for your food when it’s busy, but it’s absolutely worth it. Personal favourites were the tempeh steak wrap and nachos! Service: 5

Owner, request you to please take note. Food was good, cafe is great. But after I witnessed two consequent incidences of the staff differently treating Indians against foreign tourists - I lost respect for the ideology they serve (Yoga, Ayurveda etc) . Two different times in my two hour of seating, Indians were denied the same request that foreigners were accorded. I see why it works that way...due to the tips or so, but then I see this as very demeaning especially when the foreigners can SEE they are prioritised over Indians. That's just so sad. Service: 1

Discrimination is strictly not tolerated at all in our place , i will take a look into this and make sure this kind of vibes will be purified and removed from the place , please come again and meet us, next time you are in varkala

The good: Only the view The bad: Extremely overpriced, Tasteless in the name of healthy, extremely slow service Please avoid!! There are many more better and beautiful places which actually serve good food. Ugly: Saw a review reply where they mentioned that they prepare the food as a medicine and not for taste. Then better call it Lumuma Medical Store and not a Lumuma Cafe my friend.
