Our review: 4.5 / 5:
Diva Maharashtracha is located in Mahim. It is one of the few high-end Maharashtrian restaurants in Mumbai. It has a simple, warm and very spacious ambiance and is ideal for Seafood food lovers who like spending quality time with families who are equally in love with authentic Maharashtrian dishes plus they play traditional music which is from regions of Maharashtra. The inner décor of the restaurant uses local motifs such as Warli and Paithani art. When you visit here don’t forget to order Sol Kadhi which is a coastal drink made out of coconut milk. Also do not miss their Varan bhaat (a Maharashtrian rice preparation including pigeon split beans and rice as its main ingredients, topped with a mix of jaggery, cumin seeds, asafoetida and spices), well-seasoned Bombil fry and Bhindi kurkuri are the star dishes. If you visit this place on weekdays, you will even get a particular menu for lunch which allows you to try a wider range of dishes especially if you are alone. The various ingredients and authentic herbs and spices instantly give a soul-satisfying taste to the diners. Sometimes the owner walks around and chat with the diners. The Staff is very kind and courteous. Overall if you are in Mahim or if you want to have the authentic maharashtrian cuisine in a luxurious way then here it is.
