Went with a friend from Delhi. She was Maha impressed. The food is raving worthy. Genuinely good. The service is excellent too. Just don't understand why serving spoons don't come eith the food anymore at any of the restaurants, not just this one. The ambience was good, funky, very Bandraish with nice music, not too loud too. Shout out to the Bartender for making the perfect virgin mary! Not many get it right and almost everyone has a problem making a mon alcoholic version. Hope the consistency remains when I visit next. Portions are small for the price, I guess but the food was lip smackingly good. I finally did it. Took the plunge. Gave Bandra Born a shot. And my only regret? Not walking through those doors sooner. If Bandra had a love language, it would be food. Sure, some places are more “Instagram likes” than “actual bites,” but then there are spots like Bandra Born—where every plate has a story, and every bite leaves a mark. From the moment you walk in, the vibe hits you. Cozy, yet electric. The service? Sharp. But let’s not waste words on ambiance when there's a feast to talk about. Let’s begin this journey, shall we? 1. Roasted Pork Belly: 10/10 This. Dish. Slaps. Tender, juicy, with a sweet-sour harmony that dances on your tongue. But the real hero? That gloriously glazed fat—melting, sticky, crispy. A full-blown flavor bomb. 2. East Indian Crab Curry Dip: 7.5/10 This one's for the seafood skeptics—smell? Masked. Flavor? Balanced. As a crab lover, I expected fireworks, but this one leaned more toward comfort than thrill. Still, a solid pick if you want to dip your toes into crustacean territory. 3. Chargrilled Squid: 10/10 (and then some) I have no notes. Zero. The squid was grilled to perfection and bathed in this signature sauce that basically hugged my taste buds. If I had to eat just one dish for the rest of my life, this would be it. Period. 4. Venus Jam Cake + M: 10/10 Now hear me out—I'm not a dessert person. But this? A soft, spongy cake layered with creamy custard and that jam oh that jam. It was like a celestial sugar cuddle. I may have blacked out for a second. Final verdict? If you haven’t been to Bandra Born yet, what are you even doing? Book a table, like now. Just a heads up—they do have a cover charge of ₹500 per head, but honestly? Worth. Every. Rupee. Oh, and vegetarians? Maybe sit this one out. Your time will come. Formerly known as Salt Water Cafe, this new place Bandra Born has a nice vibe and a comic interior wall decor. The walls take you back to the 70s and 80s wall posters that you would see everywhere. Similar theme with the florocent colour menu sheets. Coming to the food it was really tasty and we loved what we ordered. It was simple Fried Chicken and Mash potatoes. Both were done really well and tasted great. The quantity was also pretty good. The service staff is very friendly and helpful and we got our order in good time. I felt the pricing was a little more than it should be but then this is Bandra so,lol. They have valet parking which is a blessing in this part of the city. They have Air Conditioning seating as well as outdoor open seating on the rooftop. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹600–800 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
