After watching St. Andrew's Church, have a meal at Bandra Born. The key aspect of this restaurant is the International cuisine. At Bandra Born, pay attention to tasty cheese toasts, curried crab and crab toasts. Trying good fruitcake, chocolate cakes and ice cream is a nice experience here. Most likely, you'll come back to this place later to taste delicious beer. After a long working week, you can try great coffee.

The positive aspect of this spot is that the staff is well-trained. From the visitors' viewpoint, prices are fair. Enjoy the cool atmosphere here. Google users who visited this restaurant state that the most suitable score is 4.6.

Having heard some buzz, we recently tried Bandra Born, formerly known as Saltwater, hoping for a standout culinary experience. Unfortunately, our visit left us with mixed feelings, suggesting the restaurant might not quite live up to its hype. We started with the Chicken Liver Pâté, which was frankly, average. The accompanying strawberry jam was a perplexing addition that simply didn't blend well with the pâté's richness. A more traditional accompaniment would have been preferred. The Crispy Duck in Vindaloo Sauce showed promise with its flavorful sauce and well-cooked duck, but the experience was hampered by the rice it was served with. Its consistency was reminiscent of kanji, which didn't complement the dish's robust flavors. One of the better dishes of the evening was the Lamb Burger. While it was certainly tasty, its size was disappointingly small, more akin to a slider, especially given its hefty price tag. The Steak in Mushroom Sauce also failed to impress; it was not particularly memorable. We didn't have any desserts here as we really wanted the tres leches which was a hit during the Saltwater era but unfortunately,Bandra born has removed it from their menu. On a pleasant note, the staff and atmosphere which contributed to a pleasant dining despite the culinary shortcomings. Overall, it feels like Bandra Born has scaled back significantly from its Saltwater days, and not necessarily for the better. While there were some enjoyable elements, the inconsistencies in dish execution and portioning, coupled with the pricing, make it hard to recommend wholeheartedly. Worth the price, ngl. The crab curry dip, the rum and coke soaked pork chorizo, the butterfly tenderloin steak, and the lamb stroopwaffle were to die for. Gush all this down with either a gua Sha or a pornstar martini to call it a day. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Sometime last week we visited Bandra Born. I have a list of Mumbai restaurants i'd planned to cover on my Mumbai food trail (i come in from Pune to check out the Mumbai food scene once or twice a year) and among many, i'd bookmarked this restaurant. We ordered: Duck Stroopwafel It was so good that we ended up ordering another. A thin waffle with sliced duck, blobs of sour cream, whole grain mustard and peppery leaves. I hate raw greens hence requested them to omit the leaves. I'd come to Bandra in jiffy, from the far end of Colaba, just for this! Please dont take this off your menu. Pretty please! Bone Marrow Toast The marrow was superb, but that cheese toast simply does not pair well with the marrow . In fact, it takes the goodness of the marrow and effs it up. That cheese toast was sad! Guys, you need to rethink on pairing the marrow with something better. Truly! East Indian Crab Dip The crab was nice but i'd say.. go a tad easy on the spice. Crab is a delicate meat. Dont overpower it with so much spice. Allow the crab to shine! As for the tiny in-house croissant loaf. OMG! It was BEYOND SUPERB! As always saying it as it is #SeedhiBaatNoBakwaas Rum & Coke Pork Belly with Chorise Pulav The oink was a melt-in-the-mouth DEEELIGHT! The pulav, though, was dry and left a lot to be desired. Ideally, the chorise should've been cooked with the pulav and not fried separately and sprinkled on top. A good chorise pulav does not need green peas, etc.. They need to amp up their pulav game. All in all a lovely meal. Excellent service. Im unable to give 5 stars because of that cheese toast and the over-spiced crab.
