After a walk around SK Pottekkatt Cultural Centre, Calicut, many visitors stop by this restaurant. The Indian cuisine is on the menu at Ambika Mess. Ordering nicely cooked fried fish, fish curry and fish masala is a pleasant experience here.

I visited Ambika mess for lunch after seeing a lot of hype on YouTube. Honestly, it didn’t quite live up to those expectations. The food was just average, nothing extraordinary. While there are different fish options available, the curry choices were very limited, and the dishes were quite spicy. Overall, it didn’t feel worth the hype created by online review videos. I wouldn’t highly recommend it—better to try it yourself and decide based on your own taste. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2
