Ikkal – The Fine Dining Illusion On the surface, Ikkal presents itself as an elegant fine-dining space, perfect for catering or classy gatherings. The promos and ads are undeniably impressive—but the reality once you step in is far from what’s promised. Service: Patience is your biggest companion here. If you’re dining solo or as a couple, prepare to be invisible. Unless you’re part of a larger group, getting the staff’s attention can easily take 30–45 minutes. Food: Underwhelming at best. I specifically asked for fresh appam and was served one that felt like it had been waiting around, only edible after being dunked in stew for an hour. The fish molly was the only saving grace, but everything else leaned towards average, if not outright stale. Ambience & Table Management: Once a table is vacated, expect another long wait before it’s cleared and ready for new guests. The charm of fine dining quickly fades when you’re left sitting among uncleared dishes. Verdict: Ikkal sells an illusion of classy dining but fails to deliver the basics—timely service, fresh food, and attentive care. If you’re going, go in a group and with very low expectations. Ikkal Restaurant is one of the best food spots in Palarivattom. We had a wonderful time here. The staffs were courteous and well behaved. Even the food was also so good that we enjoyed it a lot. We ordered some dishes and all of them were just sooo good. Some of the items which we ordered were; 1. Veg Meals 2. Chicken Biriyani 3. Kadai Chicken 4. Squid Roast 5. Kerala Porotta We had a wonderful time here and its best for everyone.. from family, friends and couples as well. Would Recommend!! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes
