Bought a chemballi fry for ~1500 with alot of expectation. But the quality of the food was terrible and disappointing.. Won't recommend to anyone. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2 Price per person: ₹1,400–1,600 Recommended dishes: Chembellli Fish Fry

An ordinary place selling extraordinary sea food. This is locally known as Chandra pillai's Shap hotel or Thirumullavaram shap. Shap being the reminder of the Toddy shop which it originally was. (Don't be confused if you come across an entry titled chandran pillai hotel on Google maps.) Old timers would surely have many a tale to tell. Now, it looks like a shanty but the crabs, squids, prawns, seer fish and mashed tapioca on offer will conquer your taste buds. Fish curry meals here comes really cheap! No creature comforts on offer so better order your food and walk across the field to the beach while the food cooks. This place is frequented by foodies from across the country. Keep a hankie at hand though--- The items can be more than tangy and it's time for tear drops. But the final bill (oops! They still don't have one) will leave you smiling.
