Many people visit this restaurant to taste nicely cooked prawn masala, chicken biryani and chicken. Hotel Mahalekshmi is famous for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. From the visitors' viewpoint, the real drawback is moderate prices. You can pay your attention to the charming atmosphere. But this place has been rated below average by Google.

One of the oldest and longest serving hotels in Kollam. Had been a frequent customer of this hotel right from my childhood. Updating this review because one of my friends who was new to kollam for some work in the Collectorate asked for a hotel to dine in around the premises. Hotel Mahalekshmi being a safe bet was suggested to him. As usual they kept their good name, for which my friend reverted back his good experience. They serve good sea food, namely prawns, squid and fish. Beef fry is a must try over there. Might find it a bit expensive but out for a dinner with your family this place is highly suggested. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
