Yesterday’s visit to Theos, Sector 104, was yet another disappointing experience — one in a long string of recent letdowns. This place was once known for quality and charm, but what’s happening now is simply unacceptable for a brand of its reputation.We were told there would be a 30-minute wait, only to be offered a table abruptly just as we were about to leave — an example of the completely disorganized seating management. Once seated, no one approached us for several minutes. The staff seemed more interested in chatting in a corner than attending to guests. We had to call them over to even get our order taken and to ask for the complimentary bread basket, which they wouldn’t have served otherwise.The food only added to the frustration. The bruschetta bread was overdone, and when I pointed it out, the waiter argued instead of simply acknowledging the issue — insisting “that’s how ciabatta is.” Such defensiveness and lack of basic customer courtesy are astonishing. When I requested to speak with the manager, he arrived after a delay, listened, and agreed to replace the dish — but what followed was shockingly petty.Instead of replacing the dish entirely, they reduced the quantity of the replacement by the number of pieces we had already eaten. This is a chain restaurant behaving as if a customer is trying to “gain” by eating a few pieces of bread — utterly unprofessional and cheap. That one gesture said everything about the mindset and declining culture at Theos.The rest of the food was average at best, but what truly ruins the experience here is the attitude and service. It’s not an isolated incident either. I even overheard another customer complaining about her dish being bitter, only to be brushed off dismissively — the staff told her “we tasted it and it’s fine.” Since when did “the customer is right” stop being a principle of hospitality?Theos seems to have forgotten that people pay not just for food, but for a pleasant experience. Sadly, both are missing now. What used to be a trusted, quality-driven brand is now showing every sign of decline — from the kitchen to the front-of-house behavior.As someone who’s been a regular patron at Theos in Noida and Gurugram, I can say this with confidence: I’m never going back.To future customers — take this review seriously. Quality is not a luxury; it’s your right. And at Theos Noida 104, it seems that right no longer matters.
