Had a great time at The Yellow Chilly! The food was really tasty, especially the North Indian dishes. Felt like real authentic flavours. All of us enjoyed the meal a lot. Definitely worth visiting! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It's on the same side as the Narmada shopping complex. The food was good, service could be much better and they should pay more attention to customers. Parking is a problem, and you have to find a spot on the lane. We were at the place for lunch on a weekday, so parking was a bit difficult. We asked for hot/warm water and they didn't bother to refill. If they don't serve hot water and rather have their customers drink the bottled water, they should be informed about it. The salad along with the biryani was served in a very small square dish for sauces and we couldn't pick the vegetable pieces with the forks without spilling it on the table. We ordered mutton Biryani and Kulcha, vegetable platter, with Shahi tukda and Gajar ka Halwa. About the food, I have no complaints. It was delicious. But the staff didn't clear the table for a long time after we had finished. Barring the parking and the slow response of the serving staff, we had a good experience at the restaurant. I'll definitely take my friends to the restaurant, just for the food. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹1,000–1,200

Hmm.. yesterday my hus had bought two parcels of Prawn Biryani for two of our unexpected guests . This is not the first time I bought from The Yellow Chilli . On one another occasion too I had bought Prawns Biryani from The Yellow Chilli but to our utter shock the Curd which was accompanied along with the Prawns Biryani was stale & sour & the RICE of the Biryani was hard enough & was supposed to be cooked more than what i received. I ,after noticing the same , immediately called up Mr. Unnikrishnan & informed over phone but he just laughed away & by the tone I could make out that he took me in a callousness manner. Again yesterday too, the 2 Prawns biryani had issues exactly the same as before which I stated above ie. the RICE was hard & had to be cooked more plus the Accompanying Curd was very Stale & Sour ...Before these two occasions once I had bought FISH Fry & FISH curry too for my parents house for some guests , even that FISH Fry was tasting very raw & was not at all upto the standard . I had put a review at that time too here reg my bad experience but Mr. Unnikrishnan apologised for the same in my WhatsApp & he had told me in my WhatsApp that he is ready to replace the FISH Fry or Compensate the same & to that I refused to take the compensation & i deleted the negative review as well, only by thinking of the BRAND behind ie. " Sanjiv Kapoor ". This time just yesterday ie. 26th Jan 2025 - third time infact I am experiencing the same . Myself & my family never eat outside our house when in kerala because we are choosy about the food we eat and for other many obvious reasons we dislike eating outside but since The Yellow Chilli is having a brand name of a National based Senior North Indian expertise in Food & variety of Dishes - Shri Sanjeev Kapoor, I chose The Yellow Chilli at Trivandrum . Anyway, I expressed honestly whatever i & my family experienced here . This should not be taken as a ego factor or anything of that sort, by the owner of The Yellow Chilli & rather these feedbacks - negative exp of the patrons / old customers should be taken as a yardstick to improve on the drawbacks or errors & see to it that these must not be repeated with any other customer/s . My only motive behind putting this review is to improve the mistakes which I & my family experienced bcos if I am compensated or replaced of the food which we experienced yesterday by The Yellow Chilli ( Trivandrum) then, they will not take my complaint seriously ( if not in Review section ) & will repeat it again with others. The Chefs who cook & staffs must be well trained & under the control of the owner of the Restau else during the absence of the owner the Cooks / Chefs etc will carelessly serve or pack the food to the customers & thus exploit the situation of the absence of the owner. I won't be again buying anything from The Yellow Chilli after this exp & just because I pointed out this mistake of yesterday's Prawns biryani + Curd & its bad experience to Mr. Unnikrishnan, he felt offended & thus a spat triggered between me & him. This should not be taken as a EGO factor as "truth is always bitter & stranger than fiction ".. I intent to improve the quality .That's it. Thanks
