Thank you Cecil. Some places offer luxury. A rare few create memories that linger long after you've checked out. The Oberoi Cecil belongs firmly in the latter category. Perched amidst the timeless charm of Shimla, this magnificent property is one of the finest hotels I have ever experienced. From the grandeur of its colonial architecture and elegant lobby to the serenity of its heated swimming pool, every corner whispers sophistication and grace. Yet, the true soul of The Oberoi Cecil is not its stunning interiors or breathtaking surroundings, it is its people. Every smile feels genuine, every gesture thoughtful, every interaction warm and heartfelt. The staff embody hospitality in its purest form, gracious, attentive, impeccably dressed, and always eager to make guests feel special. A heartfelt thank you to Swati and Raghav, whose warm welcome made us feel at home from the very first moment. Chef Raj Kumar Bhatia delighted us endlessly with an extraordinary culinary journey, serving delectable Indian, Western, Continental, and authentic Himachali cuisine with remarkable finesse. A special mention to Sara, the thoughtful intern and caretaker at the kids' area, whose love for books and gentle nature made her an instant favourite. Deepanshu, the talented mixologist, crafted cocktails that were as memorable as the conversations that accompanied them. Umesh, the ever-smiling F&B Manager, seemed to possess the rare gift of anticipating every need before it was spoken. And finally, to my son's favourite: Ansh and Abhraneel (translates to Blue Clouds) who served every meal with warmth, kindness, and genuine affection. Their care transformed simple dining moments into cherished family memories. What makes The Oberoi Cecil truly exceptional is not merely its luxury, but the feeling it leaves behind, a feeling of being welcomed, cared for, and valued. Thank you for making our stay magical.
