This restaurant is a hidden gem. This place has a cultural ambience. The food variety is amazing. The authentic coastal south Indian food you'll get here. The Mulgattwany soup is just flawless. The Malabar parata and mutton stew, chicken Chettinad just sooths the soul. The filter coffee is served strong and the aroma you'll get is just divine. Tamarind Restaurant has been around in Kolkata for a very long time. Very good food. Friendly and efficient staff. Food is reasonably priced. We had a kabab platter, mutton stew, appam and mocktails. One of those rare restaurants where one gets mineral water priced at Rs 20/- per bottle!
