Excellent service by Madan and his team. His hospitality is truly rare to come across. The non vegetarian thalis were thoughtfully curated, featuring dishes from different South Indian states and everything was delicious. The Andhra meat dish was a bit too spicy which could be adjusted to suite all palates. Not to forget, they took care of some dietary restrictions and custom made some food. The restaurant’s decor is exquisitely done. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹2,000+ Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Review for Southern Spice – Taj Chennai. Had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Southern Spice. The food was authentic, beautifully presented, and full of rich South Indian flavours — but what truly made the evening special was the exceptional service. Madhav and Sangeetha went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and well looked after. Their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality really stood out and elevated the entire experience. The service here truly trumped even the excellent food — which says a lot!
