Fabulous Southern Indian food, served by the kindest and friendliest waitstaff, live Bharatanatyam performance of a very high standard, what’s not to love? They had us hooked thoroughly with the complimentary chutneys and thivaiyals served with bits of fried crispy things (some vadams, etc.), and completely bowled us over with the quality and authenticity of dishes like Manathakkali vathakuzhambu. Bravo! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹1,400–1,600 Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend

Had such a wonderful experience at Southern Spice at Taj Coromandel! The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. We tried the fish thali as well as the fish and chicken dishes, and every single item was rich in flavor and perfectly cooked.A special mention to Shafi for his exceptional service—he was incredibly attentive, warm, and made sure we had a seamless dining experience throughout.Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic South Indian cuisine with great hospitality!
