I have visited Shanghai Court many times because I really like their food, and it’s close to my home. However, I had a very bad experience yesterday. We asked one of the staff members if they had Thukpa, and he said, “Wait, I’ll check.” After a while, he came back and told us they had it. So we ordered it. But when the Thukpa arrived, it looked like a regular soup with just a few noodles. It didn’t have the vegetables and richness I expected. When it was time to pay the bill, we mentioned that this wasn’t proper Thukpa, and it didn’t match what we were expecting. I was trying to explain this to the staff, but the person just walked away without saying anything. That was very rude and unprofessional. I didn’t expect this kind of behavior from Shanghai Court.
