After seeing Mahakavi Kalidas Natya Mandir, it may be a nice idea to visit this restaurant. Chinese cuisine under the direction of the popular chef is great at this place. The chef at Sandeep Restaurant & bar cooks good cheese rolls, chicken skewers and tandoori kebabs. If hungry, come here for perfectly cooked vanilla ice cream. Delicious liqueur goes well with the nice meal. Great lemonade is served at this place.
Food delivery is a big benefit of this spot. The knowledgeable waitstaff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. Fast service is something that guests highlight in their comments. Sandeep Bar and Restaurant used to be one of the best places in Mulund — both for food and service. Sadly, it’s not the same anymore. The service has gone from excellent to absolutely terrible. The manager is extremely rude and doesn’t even bother to answer calls. When I tried calling to complain about an incorrect order, he hung up on me mid-conversation — very unprofessional. The food quality has also gone down noticeably. The ingredients don’t taste as fresh as they once did, and the overall flavor has become quite average. But the biggest disappointment is the attitude of the staff and management. They clearly don’t care about regular or family customers anymore — it feels like they only want to cater to drunkards. It’s sad to see such a reputed restaurant lose its charm because of poor management and arrogance. I genuinely hope they improve, but for now, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I recently visited Sandeep Restaurant & Bar in Mulund, a hidden gem serving Mangalorean cuisine since 1984. Let me tell you, the good here is really good! From the moment I tasted their Prawns Ghee Roast, I was transported back to the coastal paradise. I personally loved the Kori Rotti and Surmai Tawa Fry, it was an absolute perfection, oh damn it tasted exactly like my grandma's kitchen. Trust me, this place is a must-visit for anyone craving a genuine taste of Mangalorean cuisine. Your will definitely thank me later!
