After watching Tangra Chinatown, have a meal at Rasam. This restaurant offers you great dishes of Indian and Vegetarian cuisines. Nothing can be better than eating perfectly cooked sambar, biryani and bhaji pav. Come here and eat good ice cream, kulfi and gulab jamun. You will be offered great coffee or delicious hot chocolate.
The staff is accommodating that's what makes Rasam so nice. Visitors say that the service is enjoyable here. This place offers you a great choice of dishes at affordable prices. Come here for the spectacular atmosphere. The average score of this spot on Google is 4.1.

Been a regular here for various occasions, and the food here is actually really good. The dosas along with the podi is a beauty of its own. Service though needs a bit of improvement. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

This South-Indian restaurant inside Stadel Hotel in Saltlake serves a great south-Indian thali, a mini thali is also available. Special mention for the excellent rasam-vada also. Only drawback - no washbadin or finger bowl. One needs to walk to the msin entrance and past the reception to access a washbasin! Writing this as I am returning home. This restaurant is absolutely atrocious- a humiliating mockery of South Indian food. The paper dosas were wilted, the portion sizes were comically small and mostly bland. It seems like the chef is allergic to use of nuts and spices, besides salt. The coconut chutney was so flavourless, I was halfway wondering what I had put in my mouth. Even worse is the infrastructure- there is neither a washbasin, nor a washroom in sight in the establishment. We had to wait unnecessarily long, in a nearly empty restaurant for horribly overpriced food. I would have given negative stars had that been an option.
