Overhyped & Overpriced! The place is extremely crowded and honestly not worth the hype. I paid ₹120 for just 4 tiny puris with barely 4 half pieces of potato—something you can easily get for ₹20–40 at a normal roadside shop. On top of that, they charge ₹20 for a single tiny jalebi weighing hardly 30 grams. The taste was disappointing, and I strongly suspect they use burnt oil, as I felt uneasy after eating. Very poor value for money and degraded quality compared to the price. Definitely not recommended.

Actually, wanted to give 4.3 stars but google doesn't have that option Sharma Tea in Kolkata is a street food gem that delivers an unforgettable experience with its vibrant flavors and iconic offerings. The samosas (singara) are crispy, perfectly spiced, and packed with delicious filling, while the club kachori with its spicy aloo sabzi is an absolute delight—crisp, flavorful, and served with tangy chutneys that elevate every bite. The dhokla is light, fluffy, and bursting with Gujarati zest, and the tikiya chola is a savory masterpiece, balancing spices and textures beautifully. The dahi bara is creamy and refreshing, a perfect complement to the hot snacks. The tea, especially the kesar chai served in traditional clay kullars, is rich, aromatic, and downright addictive—a true taste of Kolkata’s tea culture. The only slight downside is that hygiene could be improved, as the roadside setting can feel a bit untidy at times. However, the food quality and taste are so outstanding that it’s easy to overlook this. The service is quick, the staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable for such generous portions. Sharma Tea is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Kolkata street food with a side of nostalgia. Whether you’re grabbing a quick breakfast or an evening snack, this place delivers a five-star experience in every bite and sip.
