A old north kolkata sweet shop, where one has to try kachori and cholar dal. They provide it from 10:30 am onwards. Don't wait from the morning

This place was suggested by one of my colleague for trying kachouri and sabzi. It also has variety of vegetarian options available. From my side kachouri and sabzi was more of a bengali style, I kind of liked it, as the subzi was more on a sweeter side. I also tasted bengal's famous ice cream sandesh and chap sandesh, this was yum. Do visit if you want to taste bengali cuisine.

Putiram Sweets, a well-known sweet shop in Kolkata, is famous for its traditional Bengali sweets and snacks. The highlight of the menu is their soft, flavorful rasgullas and creamy mishti doi, both of which have a rich, authentic taste. Their kachoris and samosas, paired with spicy aloo sabzi, make for a perfect savory snack. While the sweets maintain a consistently high quality, some customers have noted occasional crowding during peak hours, leading to longer wait times. Overall, Putiram remains a go-to spot for locals seeking delicious, affordable treats. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
