I and my husband had lunch last month,on Saptami, and had my worst experience here. We were travelling the whole day,and was starving like anything and opted for one of best restaurant in Kolkata. We ordered luchi and kosha mangsho. 1st of all the plates were stinking ' anshte ', the chicken was not fresh and moreover it was jhol, prepared very badly. They were interested only serving thalis. We also ordered vegetable chop... again got disappointed. The outer layer was too thick, chewy rather than crispy and the vegetable stuffing was very less. Total disappointment for us. absolutely loved the food, ambiance and hospitality at Aaheli. This is one of the best places to relish an authentic Bengali dishes. The ingredients are fresh, the recipe is traditional passed down as a cooking legacy and the food is out of the world. It is lights and feels like home. We ordered the special mutton thali. The kosha mangsho, fish paturi and malai prawn was awesome. was delicious Thank you chef Shekhar for the magic.Thank you Shreya, Kushal and Ujjwal for taking care of us and explaining all details and treating us to this amazing meal Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹1,800–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes
