Me and my friend from the moment we walked in Pondy Parottas, it was clear the staff and the manager had no regard for basic hospitality. As we requested for a 3-seater table despite multiple empty tables, we were made to sit and wait without any explanation on a 2-seater table. When we requested about seating, we were bluntly ignored not once but twice, but third time when we asked the manager he said that if other customers come in they have to make us leave the table. Eventually, when we asked that even if we are having our food will you make us leave the manager did not even respond and was on call he did not bother to acknowledge us, their tone was unbelievably rude, as if we were inconveniencing them just by being there. I’ve eaten at street stalls with better manners and more basic courtesy than this place. No matter how good the food might be, no dish is worth being treated like a second-class human. We walked out, and I won’t ever return. If you value your dignity and don’t enjoy being humiliated over a parotta, do yourself a favour and skip Pondy Parottas.
