It’s baffling that an Indian specialty restaurant doesn’t offer a single rice preparation. On top of that, the person managing the check-in was rude and stubborn, which completely undermined the experience. This is far from the hospitality standard one would expect. We dined at Peshawri, ITC’s signature North Indian restaurant, but the service was shockingly poor. Despite calling out “excuse me” multiple times, the server ignored us. Something as basic as a spoon had to be requested again and again. Even when serving water, the bottle was left open on the table, and the staff’s attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. When I highlighted this to the manager, Mr. Vivek, his only response was to smile and say “sorry.” At such a reputed fine dining restaurant, a casual apology does not justify the service lapses. Guests come here to enjoy their evening with good food and good service — not to feel neglected. For the prices charged and the brand name ITC carries, the lack of courtesy and accountability was very disappointing. This experience completely spoiled our evening.
