Went yesterday for dinner Had to leave after starters only. Asked for Afgani chicken and Bihari kebab….. Decided not to order main course because of the taste.

We visited the Peacock Restaurant whilst staying at the Pearl Palace Heritage hotel. On entering the restaurant we were quickly seated and we were glad we'd made a reservation as it was quite busy. We were asked if we'd like water but it seems this was forgotten as we had to ask a further two times to get water. After placing our order for food only one portion arrived; fortunately we'd both ordered the same so we were able to share it until the second one arrived. We found the food to be ok but a bit bland and in perhaps slightly smaller portions than we'd been having elsewhere. We then asked for the bill 3 times before we got it. The restaurant itself is really nice with a great decor and there was gentle live music being played which helped to generate a good ambience. Sadly the service is chaotic with waiting staff moving from table to table and seemingly not really on top of what they are supposed to be doing. Service: 1
