Rustic Charm & Homestyle Comfort on ECRStumbled upon this rustic, quaint highway diner during a long weekend drive down the East Coast Road. What looked like a modest roadside stop turned out to be a hidden gem — dimly lit interiors, warm ambience, with a mix of lawn seating, family dining, and cozy upstairs spots for smaller groups.We only dropped in for some finger food — regular fries, salt & pepper mushrooms, fish 65 and chicken cutlets — and were instantly won over. The cutlets were a standout: crispy, comforting, and just like the ones you’d have at home. Everything had that unmistakable homestyle touch.Their specials menu was a lovely surprise — carefully curated and flavour-forward. The Malabar-style chicken curry with flaky parottas was rich and delicious, and the virgin mojitos were crisp and refreshing.Great music, unhurried vibe, and genuinely warm service — owner Kay and the staff made us feel right at home.Can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu — especially the desserts next time around.

My family and I had an unforgettable lunch experience at Outback on ECR! As we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the host, Ms. Karthika, who set the tone for a fantastic meal. The food was exceptional! I ordered the steak, which was cooked to perfection and literally melted in my mouth. The flavors were rich and savory, and the portion was generous. The mash and peas on the side were addictive. My wife, son, and daughter equally enjoyed their meals. To quench our thirst, I opted for an iced Americano, which was expertly brewed and refreshing. But the pièce de résistance was the brandy-infused mud cake – decadent, moist, and utterly divine! The ambience of Outback on ECR was equally impressive. The décor was elegant, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home. What truly made our experience stand out was the exceptional hospitality. Ms. Karthika and the staff were attentive, friendly, and ensured that our every need was met. In short, Outback on ECR is a must-visit destination for any foodie family! The combination of outstanding cuisine, exceptional service, and welcoming ambience makes it a true gem. Will I return? Absolutely, and with great enthusiasm!
