One of the oldest resorts in Chennai, I've been visiting it since 2003 and the charm never wanes ! Dining at the Upper Deck was pending as we've tried the others so as soon as an occasion comes we're off to this beautiful destination! Fisherman's Cove is one of the best resorts and they've maintained it beautifully! The windy path takes you right up to the restaurant where you've got the perfect view of the waves coming in ! The weather was awesome when we went so it turned out to be a double treat! The lights are dim and the breeze from the sea hits you as you take in the captivating view of the sea. You're served the lip smacking freshly baked buns/focaccia bread with fresh garlic butter and a coriander/ mint chutney. I can't tell you how delicious it is ! We literally fought on the last morsel ! We tried the Lemon basil prawn and it was melt in the mouth delicious! The sauce was creamy and the prawn fresh and juicy. For the main course I tried their classic Chicken Parmigiana which was chicken breast with pomodoro sauce and baked with parmesan cheese! Although I've had a better one in Melbourne, this was also very nice ! My husband tried the Grilled Atlantic salmon which was good too. Couldn't try any dessert as we had my birthday cake which was also from them and it was absolutely divine! The price is ok with the kind of ambiance and given the fact that it's part of the fancy resort. The service is impeccable and if the weather is awesome then it's a treat to be there ! Go n enjoy till this weather lasts... The hot and humid breeze would definitely take away from this dining experience. Bon appetit !
