Mysore Cafe is one of those places that wins your heart not just with its food but with the warmth and simplicity it carries. My recent visit here turned out to be a memorable culinary experience, and the highlight of my time at the café was undoubtedly the dosas especially the Podi Masala Dosa and the Mysore Masala Dosa. Both dishes were so exceptional that they deserve their own special mention. The first dish I tried was the Podi Masala Dosa, and right from the first bite, I was genuinely impressed. The dosa was perfectly crisp on the outside while retaining a soft, flavourful centre. The podi masala was beautifully balanced not too spicy, not too oily, and full of that authentic South Indian aroma that instantly lifts your mood. Every bite carried a delightful crunch along with the earthy taste of the podi, which blended wonderfully with the buttery texture of the dosa. It was satisfying, comforting, and honestly one of the best podi dosas I’ve had in a long time. It set such a high standard that I immediately wanted to try more from their menu. Next, we ordered the Mysore Masala Dosa, and this dish too left absolutely no room for complaints. If the podi dosa impressed me, the Mysore Masala Dosa completely won me over. The dosa had that classic Mysore-style spicy red chutney spread inside, which added depth and richness to the overall flavour. The potato filling was fresh, mildly spiced, and cooked to perfection, complementing the crisp dosa beautifully. What I loved the most was how well-balanced the flavours were nothing was overpowering, yet every ingredient made its presence felt. The dosa felt authentic, homely, and crafted with care. The accompaniments coconut chutney, tomato chutney, and sambar were also noteworthy. The chutneys tasted fresh and vibrant, and the sambar had the comforting flavours of home-cooked food. Together, they enhanced the dosa experience even more. Beyond the food, the ambience of Mysore Cafe is simple, clean, and welcoming. The service is quick, and the staff is polite, making your visit smooth and pleasant. Overall, my experience at Mysore Cafe was delightful. If you appreciate authentic South Indian food, this place is definitely worth visiting. The flavours, freshness, and consistency make it a café you’d want to return to again and again.
