Mitron Navi Mumbai was a place I frequented multiple times in the past year always on a Saturday night, partying my way with friends and having the best of times But this was the first time I visited the place midday for lunch and boy, I was in for a pleasant surprise! Food- The place has a plethora of options for both Veg & Non-Veg servings & as always, I went with the former. I was delighted about the fact that there were quite a few veg options in all the sub menus right from starters to full course meals Staying true to my routine, I first had a bowl of Mushroom soup (Chinese preparation) which was full of fresh veggies and fillings. The broth was simmered to perfection with the rich earthly flavours being hard to miss. For starters, I had my usual favourite: the Crispy Lotus Stem. This gem is made up of sliced lotus stem that are coated in crispy batter and then being deep fried, giving them their amazing flavour & texture. This is a must have and I never miss out on them whenever I am here. I then was presented with an avocado crispy roll that masqueraded perfectly as veg sushi with it being made of excellent sushi rice and creamy avocado. This not only had a crunchy exterior but also came alongside a wasabi dip and black soy. Though not the biggest fan of sushi, I did enjoy this one for sure. ️ For the main course, I had the humongous Khao Suey that was supremely prepared, consisting of a coconut based soup that had noodles, vegetables and a variety of toppings like fried onions, crispy noodles & lime being drenched in the same. Given how insistent I am on having a proper main course item, this serving certainly didn’t disappoint. The flavours, aroma, quality of ingredients & serving size all were on point. Beware: the quantity on these are immense & the serving is extremely filling, thus proceed with caution! Though I was filled up to the brim, I had to complete my conquest with desert with me opting for the Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake which was absolute opulence! This desert from heaven had a heavy buttery base that was extremely filling & was topped off with a crunchy cookie crust. Needless to say, I was totally done but the end of it but in a happy sense of course! I also sneaked in a Dancing Dragon mocktail amidst this which sure was a lovely soothing thing to have in this killing heat Inspite of having multiple things on my plate and being contently full by the end of it, never did I feel blotted or uneasy: something that speaks highly about the quality of food and their preparation. One must absolute visit Mitron for their food, hands down! Location & Vibe- The interiors are a mix of rustic & contemporary elements with the layout being top notch. I was actually fascinated by the little subtle touches made all across the property: the fixtures, frames, foliage etc. They had the Chinese Lunar New Year décor when I visited which I should say was very well done indeed. Thanks to the over powering sun, I was able to witness the grandeur of the place: something I always missed every dark Saturday night spent here! The main hall turns into a dance floor each night and it a place to be. It also holds the excellent bar counter. The restaurant section is the place to be to enjoy your meal. The outdoor seating is lovely as well. The rates are steep but it sure does get one excellent food, hospitality and vibes for the money. The service is top notch and courteous at best. Parking is ample and shouldn’t be an issue. Taking up the ground floor of the Marriott apartments, the place is well maintained and isn’t hard to get to. Though situated at the wee corner in Navi Mumbai, this place is a very well-kept secret and contributes to the extremely low footfall during the day. But nights especially weekend nights are what one must visit the place for (though a quite lunch has its own perks). Saturday night are fun and thanks to the expansive layout, there is ample space for everyone! Verdict- Hands down, one of my favourite places & highly recommended Price per person: ₹1,800–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Mains, Food Menu, Lotus Biscoff Cheese Cake
