Being a lover of Kashmiri cuisine, I went in with very high hopes post seeing their insta page, they didn't fail to disappoint. I ordered tabakmaaz, chicken yakhni, rista, and firni for dessert. Started with Tabakmaas, it was good. I had it after a long time, and the taste brought back memories. It could be a little more softer, making the bones easier to separate. Bas, itna hi. Their yakhni was sub par, the rista was too salty with sup par gravy. The meatballs themselves seemed to be chicken meatballs to be, but I was told they weren't. You really need to use better meatballs for the price you're charging for 2 meatballs, and make a better gravy too. I hoped for a good ending with firni, but it seems I kept my hopes a little too high. Firni is supposed to be moist, melt in mouth, not lumpy and dry. The flavour was okay, but there were lumps, and immense lack of moisture. Reminds of authentic kashmiri veg and nonveg dishes at Nani s place. That's what Matamal stands for NANI KA GHAR it's worth a visit . Amazing Kashmiri Dining Experience! I had an absolutely delightful experience at Matamaal in Spectrum Mall! The ambience is classy and inviting, with warm décor and a relaxed vibe that sets the perfect tone for a relaxed meal. Many Google reviewers have also mentioned the pleasant atmosphere and décor as one of the highlights here.  The food was outstanding — a real treat for lovers of Kashmiri cuisine. The mutton pulao was incredibly well-seasoned and flavorful, with an aroma that drew everyone’s attention even before it reached the table. I also enjoyed the mooli ki chutney, a refreshing and creative twist on the usual raita. The roghanjosh had the authentic depth and richness that true Kashmiri dishes are known for. Service was friendly and attentive, and overall it made for a lovely culinary affair. Many fellow diners on Google have recommended it for its good food and ambiance too.  Highly recommended if you’re looking to enjoy delicious Kashmiri food in a great setting!
