Machan at The Taj Mahal Hotel, Delhi, truly offers a luxurious dining experience. We recently celebrated a dinner for 30 people, and the ambiance with its opulent interiors was excellent. The food was absolutely amazing and delicious, a highlight of our evening. However, the service for such a large group was notably slow. Despite this, servers Nischay and his team, along with floor manager Varun and senior manager Puneet Rehlan, were exceptionally hardworking and attentive, trying their best to manage. While the food and setting were superb, the understaffing did impact the overall service speed. We had the worst experience at Machan! The staff was completely unprofessional to the point that one of the servers took our menus back even before we had placed our order. The restaurant Manager, Mr Varun Sharma was extremely rude and went out of his way to make us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome!! I made a complaint against him to the Manager which was swiftly dismissed. As for the food, it was disappointing and sub par. The dal machan was bitter, the papad sabzi was over salty and the chicken curry was served stone cold! I would not recommend this place to anyone! Machan has really fallen in standards from its glory days! I'd rather go to the Roseate for a good meal with my family!!

Just had bullseye from there and started vomiting after coming back. Staff was unpleasant as they’re doing us some favor. Never going there again.
