Been wanting to have a go at this place for a long time now. When some place is so close to your house, you tend to underestimate its value. So, finally 7 of us decided to try it out yesterday.
First thing’s first. The restaurant is in the lane between McD and Grand Mall and has a valet parking. A big thumbs-up for that. The ambience is quite good. One good thing is the tables are spread out nicely so wherever you sit you get a feeling of privacy. The captains and servers were polite enough to explain the dishes to us.
It’s a paradise for us vegetarians. We get to choose from a variety of cuisines and suits everyone. Here is what we ordered –
Starters –
Bell Pepper Quesadillas, Mexicano Paneer Quesadillas, Barbeque Paneer, Cheese Fries
All the above were good. Nothing disappointed us. Loved the barbeque paneer and paneer quesadillas. Quesadillas were big. One let down was the quantity of barbeque paneer which was very less. 9 small paneer pieces of that price is not on.
Main Course –
Pottalam Parota – Absolutely loved the taste. 3 big parotas with mushroom gravy in between them and veg salna. Everything about it was just too good. A must try here. But it’s very very heavy on your stomach. Can easily be shared between 2 decent eaters.
Sizzlers – Ordered Veg, Grilled Paneer and Desi Sizzlers. Each one comes with a choice of either fries or mashed potato. All 3 sizzlers were top notch.
Mushroom Szechuan Fried Rice – Was good but would have liked it to be spicier.
Penne Alfredo Pasta – Was very good and not too creamy.
Dessert –
Sizzling Chocolate Brownie – Not a dessert guy so I didn’t taste it. But, for the first time I saw a sizzling brownie completely wiped off the serving vessel. Seeing the commotion and not wanting violence in the restaurant, they were kind enough to give us an extra scoop of ice-cream.
Overall an extremely satisfied outing. Not heavy on the pocket as well. Will definitely go again to try their other dishes.
I don't have the bill. Costed 3700/- in total. So, 4 starters, 6 mains, 4 sodas and a dessert for that price seems very reasonable.
