I tried both South Indian Thali and North Indian Thali.. the taste is very authentic and tasty. Loved it! The staff is very friendly. panna meena is a magical little village at sunrise. just a quick 4 minute walk up sagar rd and you’ll see a plethora of monkeys and peacocks. you can trek the great wall just outside the cafe. and the panna meena stepwell and ancient temple at sunrise are absolutely serene. the food was stellar, the kokum staff is very knowledgable about veganism and have 4 types of plant milk. owner is a dietician. i honestly wish i had just eaten here for all of my meals while in jaipur. ask staff for the vegan thalis and you won’t be disappointed. tofu guac sandwich was also great. the cake was very very moist. no notes mates. if you are coming on the weekend there made be some spill over amber fort traffic in the area. easiest way to avoid is coming in mornings or at dinner. I would highly recommend Kokum Bistro for a meal after the Amer fort! It’s a 10 min walk down the hill into the town of Amer. We split the family size masala dosa (540Rs) and a veg uttapam (300Rs) and a few drinks. The family size masala dosa, as advertised, was 2.5 ft long and great to split with a group (and also take a photo with). The only con is that it was a little too salty. The uttapam was also yummy and came with all the typical sauces. The restaurant itself has indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is covered with fans, and it surprisingly was cool despite the hot sunny 95F weather. We were able to get an Uber to pick us up directly from the restaurant as well. The service was excellent and the food came out relatively quickly.
