I have ordered a chicken biriyani and a beef kothu porotta. Both were horrible. All the pieces in the beef were waste pieces with fat like chow chow type. First time in my life i felt like I am eating 90 rs railway biriyani from a restaurant. That bad the chicken biriyani was.. Quantity was also compromised. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Food is bad. I can cook at home a better biriyani than yours in a cooker. Improve your dishes. It's really bad.

The restaurant is good to get authentic Kerala dishes. Most of the cuisines are available at Kaayal like the basic Kerala Porotta, Kerala Meals, Ghee rice and Biryani as well. We ordered Beef Roast, Porotta and Ghee rice, but the only thing we didn't like is that the beef roast served was cold and was not exactly the beef roast which seemed more of a beef curry. Also the Ghee rice to was cold but the Porotta was very fresh hot and fluffy which was very nice of all the item's we ordered. The overall pricing was fair for all the other restaurants we have the near by locality. For all of these we had to pay 650 for 4 people which was pretty decent for the quality and quantity they served. The beef roast quantity was very less even though we ordered 2 of them. So while ordering should be careful with that. Also they don't have enough parking space so should be careful while visiting the place. The ambience is very neat and cool they keep place always clean and they play good Malayalam musics which gives a good touch.
