We had our team dinner at the Marriott, where a dedicated hall was provided considering the large group. However, the warm lighting was quite uncomfortable and irritating for a dinner setting. The menu was limited, and the food was average in taste. I initially expected an exceptional experience, but it was not that great in terms of menu variety and food quality. There are other five-star hotels in Kochi that offer better food compared to this. Valet parking is available, but since the hotel is located in the busy Edapally area, heavy traffic can be expected during peak hours. We visited the Kochi Kitchen restaurant near Lulu mall for a buffet lunch with my elderly parents. The staff are top-notch. They were so helpful to my 90-year-old dad, helping him with his plate and guiding back to the table. They brought us different foods from the various stations such as the grilled meats, rice, etc. The food presentation was probably the best I've ever seen in a buffet, very artistically done - you almost felt bad disturbing the carefully arranged presentation! All that being said, the food was good but not exceptional. The Marriott restaurant at the Forum mall buffet was superior. Liya, Kennedy, and Aman went over and above to make our experience a good one. Note: if you're tipping, leave a cash tip! If you add it to your credit card, it won't go to the servers. I got the amazing opportunity to experience the breakfast buffet for 2 days during my stay at the Marriott hotel. The food was really delicious and up to international standards. The service of the staff was extremely professional. Notably, the service of Chef Sreejith was excellent, especially his signature dishes served along with his pleasant smile.
