Extremely Disappointed with the “Special Meals” – Not Worth the Hype We visited Hotel Saravana Bhavan near Chennai Airport expecting a decent South Indian meal experience, but what we got was downright disappointing. We ordered Special Meals, and here’s what we received: • Cold soup that tasted bland and came without croutons. • Chapathis were dry, hard, and felt reheated rather than freshly made. • There were no cut fruits served initially, and when we asked, they brought us a bottom slice of watermelon — the kind that’s usually discarded. I’ve attached a photo to show just how careless the service was. • Not a single item on the plate tasted good or fresh. This experience felt like a lazy attempt at hospitality from a brand that once had a strong reputation. It’s clear this outlet is not living up to the Saravana Bhavan standard.
