Some 4 to 5 ppl in that area recommended going here because it is a "brahmin" hotel... Average tasting food. Salt not consistent. Tea gets cold fast. Service ppl struggle to remember.. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

A traditional Brahmin vegetarian restaurant that serves decent food with a reasonable price. We went for dinner. Ghee masala dosa was decent. Chapati tasted mediocre. Rava roast was just fine. Ghee roast was also just fine. Filter coffee was good. Kesari was really good with the right amount of sweetness. Badam halwa tasted a lot like Mysore pak and was too sweet. Badam cake tasted really nice with a new flavour. Rava ladoo was a treat to the taste buds. We bought mango thokku which tasted really good. Harihara Puthra Hotel is a place out of this world. Was served by Indira who is mother incarnate - who showered her affection on us by offering us every item available - dosa, sevai, ela adai, korattai, uzhunnu vada, paruppu vada, filter coffee and lime juice. The quality of breakfast is amazing. One should without fail visit the branch which in the new avataar is 8 years old (house converted to a restaurant) that has the old Palakkad charm and untouched by modernity. My family were touched by Indira’s love for us who has been working there since its inception.
