The cafe is located at a prime location in the heart of Shillong city,beating all the non sense traffic, lovely ambience,great food a must try no regrets will be visiting again,staffs were very polite and helpful met the owners of the cafe they were on dot for their services and I wish them the very best #best Japanese cafe# Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The food was delicious. Pricing is fair and transparent - definitely value for money. The staff here genuinely cares about their guests. They were attentive, courteous, and pleasant I would highly recommend this restaurant. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Tsukune Yakitori -160 Chicken Shio Ramen -260 H&H Japanese Bento House, Oxford Hill, Shillong Japanese $$$ 23.08.24 Today before I left for the 1st day of State Assembly duty, I got a DM from @peter.tessa recommending me to try out a new Japanese place which opened just 4 days ago. The location is near the Assembly so as soon as I was done at 2pm I went to find it. There were no signboards but I found the place. The gate was locked from inside but I managed to open it. Outside there was a plastic table & chairs under wall murals that looked like Kyoto & Mt.Fuji. How apt to have Japanese food in a house built using lightweight Japanese technology. I rang the doorbell & out came Parish the owner who had a surprised look but with a kind smile. I asked if the place was open & he led me inside. There was a temporary Chinese menu & a main Japanese one. He was a little hesitant since he wasn't expecting customers & informed that the Japanese dishes would be available after 4pm, so I asked him to give me whatever was possible & so it was Tsukune Yakitori for starters & Chicken Shio Ramen as entré. Parish is a chef in a cruise ship that runs between UK & Portugal & had earlier worked in Japanese restaurants abroad. He is here for a few months to see his twins & help his wife, Iban, setup this restaurant. His ingredients are presently coming in from Mumbai & said he doesn't use MSG for Umami but ingredients like Bonito Flakes & Miso. The food came. The grilled Tsukune chicken balls served with Yakitori sauce which is made of Mirin, Sake, Soy Sauce & Caster sugar & is popular in Izakaya Pubs, was nice. Next was the ramen. These were the thinnest ramen I've ever eaten & came with a katsu, seaweed & other ingredients. It was light, tasty & flavorful. Delicious. In the end Parish even offered me a complimentary icecream as well. Definitely worth a visit.
