Jjangmyeon (Pork)- Rs.250 Lemongrass Tea- Rs.20 Luzia's Kitchen, Lummawbah, Upper Shillong Chinese & Korean $$ 31.08.24 Today I'm finally at @luzia_kitchen in Lummawbah. Meva had shown me the location 2 weeks back when I gone to pick her up. This my 1st time here but not my 1st trying their food. I had it in one of the Carnivals at All Saints. I had tried 8 stalls that day & so I can't recall much (that's why I stopped going to carnivals), just that whatever rice cake dish I had was super spicy. After that I did try to find the place but Google fooled me. So I forgot about it until a few months back when these guys opened a pastry corner at @houseofmomo_shillong . However, they no longer share that space. I climbed up to the terrace where the cafe is. It's a simple space with plenty of greenery for a view. It had dwarf height tables & stools & a shelf of books. On the wall is a picture of the owner receiving an award. The owner came up to welcome me with the menu. I took a seat & noticed that they had 4 pages of Chinese dishes & 2 of Korean. I'm here for their Korean. I remembered how spicy the last time was so I asked for a non spicy dish. Hence it was the Pork Jjangmyeon which is a black bean based ramen noodle dish. Along with that I also asked for a cup of lemongrass Tea as well. The order did take about 20mins as everything was prepared fresh. It came in a huge bowl with a portion of kimchi, salad & apple sauce. The noodles had the perfect texture & consistency. It also had good square chunks of meat cooked along with veggies. It was good but became even better when I added the homemade apple sauce. I'm not a big Korean fan but I didn't leave a drop today. It was so satisfying. The tea was also nice. I was planning to cover two more spots after this, but after what I ate, I was too full.
