My stay at the Boulevard Hotel in Shillong was extremely disappointing. The location is very inconvenient, making taxi access difficult. The room itself was incredibly small and had a pervasive, unpleasant moist smell. Adding to this, there was visible seepage, mold, and a dirty ceiling in both the room and the bathroom. This combination of issues created a very uncomfortable and unsanitary environment. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. Not worth spending 2781Rs for such a room.

I booked a room in the adjacent hotel, but they transferred my booking to Hotel Boulevard due to some unavoidable circumstances. The staff of the hotel were so helpful. This entire matter of being transferred from one hotel to another was a smooth process and it had already been done before I even arrived and that is what makes me write this review. The room allocated to me was a really good and clean one with all the amenities one can possibly need. And for me, I was travelling alone and to all solo female travellers I would like to say that you will be completely safe here. In the previous hotel I booked I did not opt for complimentary breakfast and yet Boulevard arranged one for me. My bus was at 2 pm in the afternoon and I had to check out at 12 noon, but I was made to feel completely at home and given extra time before vacating the room. The hotel is right in Police Bazaar, so if you are someone who wants to shop, talk to people and have all the amenities at an arm’s length, then this is the place to stay. Thank you for the wonderful stay. I would definitely love to visit again. Service: 5
