Report incorrect information
The first customer is as important as the last one. Most restaurants follow this philosophy but Haldiram's has grown arrogant becuase of success. This is what I have come across while visiting a lot of Haldiram's outlets in the past few months. This arrogance has manifested itself in the behaviour of their staff. This is one of the many incidents which brings their callousness out:
Today I visited the Centre Stage Mall outlet and ordered 2 pao bhaajis. After waiting for 10 minutes, I went back to the counter to collect my order. The paos were lying on a tray passed by the kitchen to the counter and I was standing there and waiting for the waiter to put it on a plate with Bhaji and give it to me.But he was busy doing other stuff, which was mostly standing idle. After waiting for 2-3 minutes, I asked him to ready my plate.
He placed the paos onto 2 plates, along with Bhaji, and put the plates on the counter.
I showed him the bill to claim the plates(that's the standard procedure). And suddenly a guy came and picked up one of the plates and left, while the waiter watched cluelessly. He placed his bill on the counter.
I handed my bill to the waiter and asked him to compare the order time. My order had been made before his.
So, I had to wait for the next plate for another 15 minutes.
The food too turned out to be more oily than usual.
It was a poor experience overall.
