We had our engagement at the rooftop restaurant Grill & Tonic at Vihang's Palm Club. Apart from a few hiccups, we had a good time and our guests enjoyed the food and ambience. The venue can comfortably accommodate around 100 people, however, since it is a restaurant, it has its pros and cons. While the look and feel is different from most traditional banquets, the lighting is very dim as it would be in a restaurant. The decor might not suit all occasions - it is a jungle theme right now and we are told this keeps changing every 3-4 months. Please consult their chef and try food samples before deciding the menu for your event. Their suggested menu items like baked vada pav, kung pao potato, baked cheesecake, moongdal halwa were well received. The chaat items from their live counter were also tasty. However, the food is not as exceptional as they claim it to be, especially for the price. The service was not as expected and the staff had to be given directions multiple times. The cost is on the higher end. We ended up spending twice of what we would've spent elsewhere. They have a monopoly for the food and decoration and both, though good, are extremely overpriced. We would recommend this place for a gala dinner/cocktail party more than that for an engagement. Sneha, Kuntal and Omkar from their team helped us to the best of their ability and though there was some miscommunication within the teams, the program was an overall success.
