Experience from March 2025: • Ordered Masala Papad, Fish Fingers and Mumbai Mirchi Chicken. The latter arrived within five minutes of ordering, and while the presentation was unique, it wasn’t appealing: a. The color of the sauce (chutney) was unnaturally green. b. The salad looked unfresh, and the shredded cabbage had brown edges. • Taste: Very bad! The veggie masala on Papad was pre-prepared and watery because the chopped onion had started losing its moisture, and the papad was not warm. The chicken tikka pieces seemed pre-cooked, as they were extremely chewy, dry, and lacked the usual juiciness of barbecued chicken. The fish fingers were also disappointing and had a strong fishy smell. • Portion size: Decent. Went there for dinner, had these three appetizers, and concluded the meal. • They have good seating capacity. • It looks like they refurbished the old management’s furniture—the upholstery appeared old and dull. • Both men and women serve there; it was nice to see women servers in a family restaurant. • They clear the plates immediately after the last bite of food. We talk about the Coastal Tawa, a family-friendly restaurant in Thane West that offers amazing food in a spacious and comfortable setting.
