Disappointing experience despite the hype this restaurant has. Don't bother wasting your time and money here. My husband has called and made a reservation to celebrate my birthday. At the restaurant, we were given a table facing a curtain where both seats looked away from the other tables. It was like a table which is given to people to punish them. On requesting also we were not given other table saying that it was for 4 people. this is despite my husband telling the staff while making the reservation that we are coming to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday. We were already annoyed by this but thought that food might negate this experience. But the food also was not at all as per expectations. It was oily and underwhelming. We were surprised when a simple dish like Onigiri felt oily and not grilled properly. The matcha ice cream at the end was icy and not smooth as one may expect. Again, don't bother coming here. This restaurant might have been good back in the day, but surely not anymore. There are far better places like Daily sushi or Kuuraku which serve much better food.

After hearing all the hype about this place for more than a decade, after visiting every Japanese restaurant in town, I decided to visit Harima. It was a special occasion - my wife's birthday, and I made a reservation mentioning the same, requesting a nice table, considering the occasion. When we reached the restaurant, we were given a small barely-a-table in a corner of the restaurant, where both seats faced the a curtain, in the corner, away from the restaurant. I requested a change of table, pointing towards some empty tables, but the staff refused, saying that those tables were meant for 4 people (A few couples came after us, and each one of those couples was seated at these 4-seater tables). I got hurt feelings (if you know what I mean). Keeping all this aside, we decided to focus on the food. But our streak of disappointment continued. The Yakisoba noodles were nothing to write home about when it came to taste, and a tad oily. The Yaki Onigiri was oily and not grilled well. The Chicken Karaage was okay. The Virgin Mojito was too sour. When I informed the staff about this, they asked me if I would like more 7-Up added to it. The ice-cream wasn't smooth, but icy, with literal tiny bits of ice.
