From the moment we walked in, there was a welcoming, coastal vibe in the air, setting the perfect mood for what turned out to be an unforgettable dining experience. The menu is a delightful mix of traditional dishes, and every item we tried was a tribute to the coastal kitchens it draws inspiration from.We started with the Fish Tava Fry, which was a standout right away. The fish was fresh, coated in a perfectly balanced spice mix, and pan-fried to achieve that golden, crisp crust while remaining moist and tender inside. It was served with a chutney that elevated the flavors even more. The Neer Dose was soft and lacy, served warm and fresh—ideal for mopping up the rich gravies that followed.The Kori Rotti, a signature Mangalorean dish, was both hearty and nostalgic. The chicken curry had depth, spice, and a luscious coconut base, poured generously over crunchy rice wafers that softened just enough to hold their texture without getting soggy. Another highlight was the Patrode—beautifully prepared with colocasia leaves and spiced rice flour, steamed and lightly pan-fried. It had just the right hint of tang and spice, and felt like a dish straight out of a coastal home kitchen.What made our visit even more memorable was the exceptional service by Pranav. From the outset, he greeted us with genuine warmth and guided us through the menu with thoughtful, knowledgeable recommendations. His passion for the cuisine was evident in the way he spoke about each dish, even sharing cultural tidbits and preparation details that added richness to the experience.Throughout the meal, Pranav struck the perfect balance of attentiveness and discretion. He anticipated our needs, made sure our plates were never empty, and checked in just enough to make us feel well taken care of without ever being intrusive. Small gestures—like offering extra neer dose when he noticed we still had curry left—spoke volumes about his attention to detail and care for the guest’s experience.Dining at Carnival De Goa wasn’t just about eating great food—it was about feeling connected to a culture, thanks to both the kitchen and the service.
