This cafe is located a little far from the cliff. It was close to our stay near Odayam Beach. One night we heard loud music so we went to see it was from this place. The place comes alive at night and the area behind the Cafe had good lasers and music playing. There is an entry fee so whoever is interested may go in. Can check out the video for reference. Sandybay is easily the best spot in “VARKALA” if you want a transition from a chill afternoon to an absolute vibe at night. We started with some drinks—the cocktails are so balanced and definitely .The seafood dishes were incredibly fresh; the calamari was perfectly crispy and not rubbery at all, which is hard to find! The DJ they had on sunday was incredible, playing a mix that kept everyone on their feet without it feeling like a chaotic club. A huge shoutout to Mohammed, our waiter for the night. Even when the place got packed and the party was in full swing, he was on top of everything. He was super attentive, remembered our drink order perfectly, and had a great energy that really added to the night. It’s rare to get that level of service in a busy party spot. If you’re at Sandybay, definitely ask for Mohammed - “Can't wait to come back next weekend!" Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The setting of this beachside cafe/bar is truly incredible! Whenever you are here, may it be during the day, for watching the sunset or in the evening, it is an awesome place. You need to bring some time as the service and the kitchen/bar is a bit slow. After having dinner we loved the open air sitar concert followed by a reggae party dancing in the sand because of Bob Marley's birthday! Meal type: Dinner Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
