While the stay here was exceptionally good with all the automations, the very courteous staff, prompt room service, grateful and friendly manager, their food is all-show and no-go.
Their bakery section carries quite a few chocolate options, but only on their menu. This is quite misleading. Also, the pastry chef is very poor in his/her skills. Perhaps, a brush through the basics won't hurt. Kindly develop your dessert offerings.
The food served for breakfast was repetitive and if I had to take a swing at guessing, leftovers get a second chance.Refilling was another issue experienced in the buffet. Although the staff is pretty curious and cautious, they failed to keep an eye on the buffet tubs.
The fruit platter had a couple of raw and dry fruits in them. I do not mean cashes, pistachios and almonds, I mean fruits gone dry due to over exposure to outside temperature. The pineapples served were raw. I know because I grow pineapples. Having a shorter menu is a concern. But, not serving the items of a restricted menu is the concern.
The Badam Palak Tikki was good and so was the Creoli. But, nothing special at all.
The gulab jamun ordered reeked of artificial milk maid and such. I know this because I solemnly believe that my sweet mother-in-law makes the best gulab jamuns. And, she makes them from scratch with pure and fresh ingredients.
The green apple pastry carried an artificial scent.
But, then here comes the main turning point. One look at the price and you kick yourself for expecting more. In a metropolitan city like Bengaluru, it is sort of inconsiderate to expect more in a buffet spread for the specified price.
Nevertheless, it is quite poor. Please make amends as anyone's experience of staying here could turn a notch-down due to the poor food. I understand that this is a business hotel focusing more on the stay as any business professional would most likely be out for lunch and dinner. Still, good food could do no harm. For now, it is just average.
PS: Please add a better "scanned image" of the menu. Please.
